Welcome to Minne Lusa Vocal Music! My name is Holly Eberhardt, and this is my eleventh year at Minne Lusa. I joined the Minne Lusa family in August of 2007. I also teach music one day a week at Rose Hill Elementary.
I am originally from the Gretna area. My family is still in the Gretna area. I graduated from UNO in 2003 and 2007 with degrees in Music Education. I earned my National Board Certification in 2015. I am also a certified Kodaly and Orff-Schulwerk music educator. I am married to my husband Chad, and we have a bulldog named Hank. I also have a sister who is a elementary music teacher for the Gretna Public School District. In my spare time, I like to go kickboxing at Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping, teach private clarinet and piano lessons, sing in the Women's Choir for Sing Omaha, conduct my church's chancel choir, and spend time with my family and friends
All students at Minne Lusa Elementary receive vocal music instruction one day a week for 50 minutes. Students are exposed to several genres of music from around the world and have the opportunity to play instruments in the classroom to further enhance their musical experiences. Fifth grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Minne Lusa Chorus. In chorus, students learn more challenging music in two parts and will perform twice a year: the Winter Program in December and the North Area Concert at North High School in early May.
Parents are always welcome to come to the music room at any time. Please call in advance so arrangements can be made.
