I am so happy to be apart of the Minne Lusa Family!

Go Panthers!

Remember our purpose...relationships, rigor, relevance!

I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated in 2007 where I graduated with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. I began my career with Omaha Public Schools in 2007. I taught at Skinner Magnet Center from 2007-2016 as a Kindergarten Teacher and currently am the Literacy Facilitator at Minne Lusa beginning in 2016. I have also earned a M.S. degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Peru State College as well as a M.S. degree in Administration & Supervision from Concordia University.

Teaching, learning, and nurturing has always been a passion of mine and I knew I wanted to be in education from a very young age. I love being apart of such a diverse community and thrive off of the positive nature and sense or urgency that the Omaha Public Schools brings. I am so happy to be at Minne Lusa! I have a passion for reading and literacy and look forward to being apart of such an important point of each child's life at Minne Lusa in not only learning how to read but reading to learn in elementary school.

My role at Minne Lusa is to provide instructional/academic support in reading, language arts, and writing for teachers and students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. I have the wonderful opportunity to help the amazing teachers at Minne Lusa to sharpen their craft of teaching to provide effective instruction to all students. Primarily, this is in the form of coaching in the classrooms and working collaboratively with each teacher.

On target, on task, and on a mission! Go Panthers!
